Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

This policy explains what information I collect when you visit jimarnoff.com or contact me through the site, how I use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, “I” and “me” refer to Jim Arnoff, a sole-practitioner career, business, and life coach based in New York, New York.

If something here is unclear, or if you want to make a request about your information, email me at jim@jimarnoff.com.

Information I collect

Information you provide. When you use the contact form on this site, I collect the fields you fill in: your full name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, your timezone, whether you have FaceTime, your message, and how you heard about me.

Information I receive automatically. My hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server information every time a page loads. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, referrer, and timestamps. This helps the site run reliably and helps detect abuse.

Cookies and similar technologies. The site uses a small number of cookies and third-party embeds. See the Cookie Policy for the full list and how to manage them.

How I use your information

I use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a complimentary consultation.
  • Follow up about coaching, workshops, and talent-agent consulting engagements you ask about.
  • Keep the website secure, reliable, and free of abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including responding to valid requests from authorities.

I do not use your information for automated decision-making. I do not sell your personal information. I do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How I share your information

I share limited information with the service providers that help me operate the site and run my practice. These providers act on my behalf and are bound by contracts to protect your information:

  • Vercel (website hosting and infrastructure).
  • Vimeo (video hosting for videos embedded on the site).
  • An email provider, once configured, to deliver form submissions and confirmation emails.

I may also disclose information if required by law, to protect my rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. I honor the following requests for anyone who contacts me, regardless of location:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information I have about you.
  • Correction: ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: ask me to delete your personal information, subject to limited exceptions.
  • Opt out of marketing: ask me to stop sending emails by replying to any email or writing to jim@jimarnoff.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information I collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (I do not sell or share for behavioral advertising), and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (I do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA). You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR/UK GDPR). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, data portability, restriction, and objection. The legal bases on which I rely are your consent (when you submit the form), my legitimate interest in responding to you and running the site securely, and compliance with legal obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, email me at jim@jimarnoff.com. I will respond within the time periods required by applicable law.

How long I keep your information

I keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward, typically up to three years. Server logs are kept for a shorter period (generally thirty to ninety days) for security and debugging. I may keep information longer when required by law or to resolve disputes.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) across the site, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to children under sixteen, and I do not knowingly collect information from children under sixteen. If you believe a child has submitted information to me, contact me and I will delete it.

International transfers

I operate from the United States and my service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country. I rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful mechanisms where required.

Links to other sites

My site links to and embeds content from other services, including Vimeo. This policy does not apply to those services, and I encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I will change the “Last updated” date at the top and, if the changes are significant, provide notice on the site.
